Fabulous Filton Fortnight
Whatever the weather for the past two weeks, it has been warm smiles all over Concorde at Filton as Concorde 216 welcomed the first of her rebooked visitors.
Visitors and volunteers alike have been celebrating Wheel-Hugging Week, and Alpha Foxtrot has seen “birthday boys” and “birthday girls” from 5 years old to 83 years young choose this supersonic venue for their special occasion.
Even the cold wind could not dampen the enthusiasm, although warm coats and hats have definitely been the order of the day.
Usual uniform for the volunteers has been enhanced with a range of non-standard issue woolly titfers for Ground Attendants who spend more time in the “fresh” air than the Aircraft Attendants, but the fashion war is all in fun because it is so good to be back.
A warm welcome is assured at Concorde at Filton.
